The task force to examine tax breaks is meeting for its third time in what could be its most contentious so far.
Representative David Dank, the co-chair of the task force and the most vocal opponent of tax credits, says Wednesday’s meeting deals with venture capitol incentives.
The Oklahoma City Republican says he wants to know whether the credits are creating jobs and wants it to be more transparent.
“Tell me where the jobs are. I’d like to go out and shake hands with the new employees and ask them where they started, how long they’ve been there, what they make. These are things that people are entitled to know.”
Representative Dank says two of the credits dealing with small business and rural incentives sunset at the end of the year and were declared constitutionally infirm by the Attorney General.
The entire meeting in the House chamber will be streamed live on the House website.
