NYC No Match for Thunder’s Durant

NBA players have been locked out of team facilities since July first, after they couldn’t come to a labor agreement with team owners. That’s forced some to turn to different courts to get their practice in. Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant played at New York’s legendary Rucker Park Tuesday night, and almost walked away with the single game scoring record.
Durant poured in 66 points in the game, going 9 of 11 from three point range. After hitting four straight shots from well beyond the three point arc, the thousand fans in attendance crowded around the court in anticipation.
Durant hit the shot, giving him five straight makes. Fans mobbed him at center court, and the game ended with a minute left on the clock, as fans just didn’t want to leave the court.
