A State Senator responsible for the capture of Saddam Hussein is making a special appearance on Spike TV’s “Deadliest Warrior”

State Senator Steve Russell is appearing Wednesday night on a live showing of Deadliest Warrior and then tapping another show to air next week.

Russell says it gives him the chance to promote his book entitled “We Got Him! A Memoir of the Hunt and Capture of Saddam Hussein”.

“My book which has been out since April is doing very well. Simon and Schuster has picked it up since June, and they’re going to release it worldwide in their version this fall.”

The episodes will compare the US Ranger-trained Infantry to the North Korean Special Forces and compare Iraqi Dictator Saddam Hussein to Cambodian tyrant Pol Pot.

Russell says he’s bringing some paraphernalia of Saddam Hussein’s which includes one of his uniforms.
