About a dozen state capitol complex buildings are shut and hoping to reopen on Tuesday after a water main break.
A water main break at Lake Stanley Draper reduced the water pressure at the State Capitol on Monday shutting down offices.
Department of Central Services Deputy Director Mike Fina says low water pressure impacts the cooling system at the capitol.
“Well especially the systems that are running the capitol complex, the chillers require large amounts of water to cool these buildings.”
Fina says the low water pressure has also impacted the restrooms and communication systems which require a lot of cool air to stay running.
The low water pressure also shut down the Oklahoma City-County Health Department.
