Lankford Supports Boehner Bill

The US House of Representative is expected to vote on Speaker John Boehner’s bill to raise the debt ceiling before a default on August Second.
Oklahoma’s newest Congressman James Lankford says he’s voting yes on the bill because it deals with the real crisis which is the national debt itself not the debt ceiling.
The Oklahoma City Republican says credit rating agencies are really concerned about the effect of the deficit on the US economy.
“Their focus is more than August 2nd their focus is some sort of structural plan to start working on the debt because currently we have a fast accelerating debt and no real plan to be able to pay it off.”
Congressman Lankford says he expects there to be enough votes to pass the bill in the House.
He also expects there to be enough time to get the bill passed to avoid a default scenario on Tuesday.
