Traffic fatalities begin the year lower than ’09

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says traffic fatalities in the state is down by nearly half for the first month of the year.
DPS says 32 people had died in auto accidents as of Saturday – compared to 62 on the same date – Feb. 6 – in 2009.
The agency says six people were killed on the state’s roads through Saturday – down from eight for the month on the same date last year.
