ENID, Okla. (AP) - Local, state and federal authorities arrested 41 people in Enid and Oklahoma City - including an 82-year-old Enid woman - in the latest round of drug busts.

The arrests began early Tuesday as 130 law officers served arrest warrants naming 61 people.

Among those arrested is 82-year-old Nadine Johnson of Enid. Police say the woman is known as “Granny” and that her home was the hub of an illegal drug operation.

Enid police Sgt. Rick Tanner says Johnson’s grandson would bring drugs to the house from Oklahoma City and that Johnson was aware of it. Tanner says Johnson would hide her grandson’s drug money and use it to bail out other drug dealers and to buy cars.

Authorities say the arrests follow an 18-month investigation that revealed a pipeline of drugs stretching into California and Mexico.
